LIL' G OF SILK

Gary “Lil G” Jenkins dipped his fingers in music from as young as seven years old by singing in church. From there he started mastering instruments with the tally reaching a total of 14 instruments, most of which were self-taught. With his talent in song-writing and producing, his role as a lead singer in R&B group Silk, boosted the group’s acclaim selling over five million records, while they enjoyed phenomenal success with their world famous song “Freak Me Baby.”

Going back to his roots, Lil G resigned from the group in 2002 pursuing his first love; true musicianship. Over an eighteen-month period he wrote, recorded and produced, with live instruments, his first independent solo project; The Other Side. With this Lil G falls under the class of very few of today’s hottest artistes who share the title of pure musicianship.

With one of the most recognisable voices in today’s R&B music, Lil G has pushed ahead displaying true musicianship, with his solo album gaining worldwide acclaim with music fans and earning the genuine respect of his peers.
